My journey with Tier Three started in 2018 when I first met with Neil Presner to discuss my potential transitional plans. At that time as I was exploring my options, I was not yet ready to proceed with a firm commitment for a full appraisal. What I valued most was that there was no pressure from Neil. He provided pertinent information and patiently walked me through various options, which included continuing with my practice.

Fast forward to 2021-2022 – I was ready to proceed.

Throughout the process Neil Presner and Bernie Dolansky were with me every step of the way. They were consistently looking after my best interests throughout every interaction. From consultations with my accounting and legal experts, appraisal of the clinic, listing my practice, showing the practice, reviewing LOI’s, managing the due-diligence process, they were by my side right up until closing day. They were even available to me post-closing for any advice on the transition.

From start to finish it was a 13-month process and not once did I feel alone. It would be difficult for someone who has never experienced a practice sale to fully understand the multi-level challenges involved. It is therefore imperative to have the right broker team and advisors in your corner.

The best advice I could provide any potential seller would be: Even if you’re not ready to sell, explore your options and prepare your eventual transition. It will go much smoother.

Ultimately your transition may be 5-7 years down the road, but you will get accurate information on how to prepare your office for the impending sale, and how to maximize your value by proper structuring of your corporation and with proper accounting and legal advice.

Hands down, I unconditionally recommend Tier Three, specifically Neil Presner and Bernie Dolansky for anyone considering a transition plan.

Several years ago , after many years in practise, I contacted Tier 3 to get my practice evaluated for the purpose of retirement planning and was introduced to Neil Presner. He did a thorough evaluation of my practice and gave me an estimate of its value.
Last year after a wonderful summer vacation, I decided it was time to transition out of practise to retirement. I contacted Neil again to start the process of selling my practice .He updated the evaluation and laid out in great detail the process and time lines involved in the process and answered all of my questions patiently.
Neil and his team did an amazing job of marketing the practise , many potential buyers showed interest, and there were multiple offers made. The end result was a sale price well over asking. Neil and Bernie Dolansky were also very involved in the Share Purchase Agreement , ensuring that it was free of potential problems. They also kept on top of the various parties involved ( lawyers, accountants, landlords, bankers etc) in order to make sure the sale closed on the agreed date.
Neil was a great source of knowledge and comfort for me throughout the process as there are many moving parts , and it can be a very stressful time even when things go well.
