As the eldest child in her family, Barb spent most of her life immersed in the dental industry as this was often a topic of conversation around the dinner table, and at one point or another she and most of her siblings worked in the industry in various roles. Barb’s parents, Mary Jane and Barry Howie, started Tier Three in 1982 and on and off, Barb worked for the company for the next several decades as her own family grew. Barb began focusing on a full-time basis for the company over a decade ago, first in the area of appraisals and management, and by 2014 as a Sales Representative as well. In addition to her time with Tier Three, Barb’s background includes special project and office management for several smaller niche companies and editor for several organizations’ newsletters. When Barb is not working with dental practice clients and customers she enjoys traveling with friends and family, and she has always volunteered extensively within her community.
