The patient base is 80-90% Cantonese or Mandarin speaking patients, but only 5% speak no English. The current owner believes merging this patient base into another practice’s will be most successful if the new owner comes from a Chinese cultural background, however fluency in Mandarin or Cantonese will not be mandatory.

There is excellent organic new patient growth, averaging well over 120 patients each year, attesting to the great reputation of the current owner and staff. The purchaser will have the option to retain some or all of the current staff members.

There is a possibility to stay in the existing space for a period of up to 5 years with no tenancy issues, if the purchaser wants to slowly integrate into the practice and look at moving the patient base in the future rather than more immediately. The current lease is month-to-month providing flexibility to accommodate the new owner’s optimal transition plan.

The patients are non-assignment with no copay write-offs. The percentage of the patient base that are regular hygiene recall patients get more scaling treatment per year than an average practice and these patients spend more per year on hygiene that then average.

The practice owner has already made the shift to a primarily digital practice with most of the patient charting done digitally, digital radiographs and a digital impression scanner. In addition to the patient charts, the transaction will include all of the existing equipment, dental instruments and supplies, handpieces and software, which the buyer may choose to also bring to their existing practice.
